With the support of our event partner Ford Australia, we’ve created a stunning Brisbane Drive Day with a very special end location.
Why We Drive
DAD drive days are always about connection and community. They hold the intention to normalise mental health problems and mental illness, promote conversations around these and offer pathways for seeking further support.
We use driving and the shared enthusiasm for cars and great roads to connect and escape downward emotional spirals. We know that connection is vital for mental wellbeing, and DAD events deliver this in spades.
DAD isn’t a club, it’s a community. Please don’t feel you need ir jordan 11 low ie bred 199 to have a particular model or age of car to attend – if you love it, bring it.
Our drive days are strictly social and non-competitive. We use open roads and carefully plan our drive routes to make them as safe and logical as possible, while using engaging roads with new scenery for a great day out.

What’s Happening for the Brisbane Winter Drive Day in June 2025?
We’ve teamed up with our friends at Ford Australia to create a truly memorable Winter Drive Day.
Our start location is Sunshine Ford in Southport. The team has arranged a coffee cart and bacon and egg rolls for breakfast, and they’re opening up the dealership for our crews to meet, chat and look around some of the brilliant products on display.
After our briefing we’ll depart Sunshine Ford to cruise inland for our morning tea stop at Rosin’s Lookout. The lookout offers incredible views, nearby cafes and the opportunity for a break before continuing our drive through Canunga to Tambourine Mountain.
End Location
From Tambourine Mountain our drive route takes us north to end at the Dick Johnson Racing headquarters. With huge thanks to the Ford Australia and DJR teams, the DJR workshop will be opened for our group, who will be guided through a tour of the workshop floor. A couple of Mustang V8 Supercars will be on display, along with DJR’s historic material in their showroom. Plus, Steven Johnson’s TCM XD-Falcon race car, Jill Johnson’s old Ford Laser race car, and the merchandise shop will be open.
Lunch is being provided with ordering required in advance (via the registration form below). The options are:
- Chicken Noodle
Poached chicken breast, bean thread noodles, finely sliced vegetables, bean sprouts, shallots, mint, coriander and nam jim dressing. Available vegetarian or vegan on request (GF,DF) - Pesto Chicken Pasta Salad
Poached chicken breast, olives, chargrilled red capsicum, cherry tomatoes, basil pesto, baby spinach, parmesan cheese and penne pasta. - Roast Mushroom and Asparagus
Herb roasted mushrooms, grilled asparagus, chargrilled capsicum, baby spinach and cannellini beans with lemon juice and olive oil dressing. (GF, VG, DF)”
