After being on our wish list for several years, DAD’s inaugural Sydney drive day was held on Sunday 4th June.
While the weather forecast promised a dry drive, it instead delivered patchy rain and overcast skies, however, the spirits and enthusiasm of our group shone through and created a brilliant day of connection and conversation with stunning roads and scenery.
Starting in Berowra and ending with lunch at Roche Estate in the Hunter Valley, our group was hosted by DAD Local Legends Zak Adkins, Helen from Driven Women Magazine, and DAD Director David James. This event fostered a new community in Sydney, and delivered in spades what DAD is all about – genuinely holding space for normalised conversation about mental health, showing up for each other, enjoying a cracking drive in the cars we love, and fundraising to support mental wellness through the freedom of driving.
Our sincere thanks are offered to the incredible participants who made this event a memorable occasion to be proud of, and to our Local Legends for stepping into DAD’s message to deliver this event with honesty and integrity. We can’t wait to drive with our Sydney community again.
